THE IJAW PEOPLE Ijaw people (also known by the subgroups “Ijo” or “Izon”) are people in Niger Delta in Nigeria, inhabiting regions of the states of Ondo, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Akwa Ibom and Rivers state.
