Willow smith is ready to be independent as she buys her first house a $3.1m mansion in Malibu. Not too far away from her famous parents Will and Jada’s $42 million Calabasas mansion.
The American singer-actor, rose to fame at the age of seven when she appeared in the film I Am Legend alongside her father, before launching her music career at the tender age of 10 with the hit single Whip My Hair.
She has recorded three studio albums since then and now, aged just 19, she’s splashed out on her own LA digs.
Variety describes her property as a “very adult starter home” – a contemporary hillside house on a private street with stunning water views over the Pacific Ocean.
It was reportedly an off-market purchase and while $3.1 million is no average spend for a teenager, it’s considered fairly modest as far as Malibu homes go.
Built in 2011, the 4-bedroom property has some serious luxe amenities, including breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, an indoor tree, and a stylish concrete patio to entertain friends.
Its eco credentials haven’t come at a cost to the aesthetics, though.
Other highlights of the nearly 3,000 sq. ft contemporary abode includes floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a master bedroom with a built-in fireplace system, spa-inspired bathroom, state-of-the-art appliances, an eat-in kitchen, and a chic dining area.
By far, this home is perfect for the free-spirited musician!
Smith is not new to the area, Variety reports, having been raised at her parents’ famously colossal mega-compound that lies in the remote mountains between Calabasas and Malibu, where they continue to reside.
Her older brother Jaden lives in the celebrity gated community of Hidden Hills, in an estate that their parents have owned for more than 17 years.
Congratulations to willow smith!
